Melinda Hoogland
After living in Huron, SD for ten years, Melinda and her family returned to NW Iowa in December of 2017. Melinda considers NE Nebraska and NW Iowa home as she was raised in these areas. She graduated from Wayne State College in 2021 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services and a minor in Social Sciences. She completed a undergrad internship at Heartland in 2021 and now works full-time for Heartland as a Community Support Provider. Currently, she is a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Melinda resides in Sioux City with her husband of thirty years and their youngest high school age daughter. She has a daughter that married in 2021. Her middle daughter is employed at K & B Transportation. She has 3 dogs, a cat, 2 grand kitties, and a grand doggie. She enjoys spending time with family, making crafts, organizing, taking naps, and camping. Melinda loves the atmosphere and the services Heartland provides.
