Diane Fehringer, LMHP, MAC
Diane started Heartland Counseling in November of 2023. Her career spans 30 years of helping kids and their families. She graduated from Doane College in 1991 with a Human Services degree. She began working for the State of Nebraska, working in a group home for adolescent sex offenders, and then moved to the Lincoln Regional Center on the Adolescent IRTC unit. During that time, she was getting her Masters's Degree in Counseling from Doane College, graduating in 2002. She began working for Epworth Village in York in 2003 until 2005. She then began private practice with other therapists until 2010. In 2009, she went to work at Cedars in the Intensive Family Preservation as an Assistant Manager of that program and continued her private practice. She went out on her own for private practice in 2010 and continued that until December 2012 to August 2013, working at Better Living in the IFP department. She moved back home to run and eventually owned the bar in that town, continuing her therapeutic services with the customers. Isn’t that what bartenders do? After 10 years, she decided to return to working with kids and their families.
