Substance Abuse Prevention
The substance abuse prevention program teaches children about the dangers of using substances, teaches good choices, and also touches on social emotional learning as well. Currently, Heartland utilizes two evidence based programs called Lion's Qwest and PRIME for Life. Curriculum and courses span from 4.5 hours, 6, 8, 10, 12, and higher. Each school chooses their preferred amount of time and curriculum they would like to utilize for their students.
