David's Story
"I have a lot to be thankful for. My name is David. For quite a few years I was homeless. About 4 years I was getting out of prison While in jail I took an anger management class with my now therapist Marti. 

There have been lots of ups and downs the last several years. Having been homeless and a felon, Heartland tried over and over again to help me get off the streets.

I finally had given up. And quit going to therapy and The Life Center.

I was at my end when I reached out to Heartland again. It took Nicole, Maddie, and over an hour to talk me into applying for help. I didn't want to be turned down again. I gave up, but Heartland didn't.

For the first time in years I have a home. I'm so grateful for the blessings I've been given. Thank you Heartland especially my friends that I've made there."
